Umm, Wow! Isn't this a fine piece of legendary equipment. I mean it really blows away the LVL 1000 cloaks, that by the way most people don't know about until the reach that lvl or someone happens to tell them (I didn't at least). Why? Cause it isn't available! So, rhetorical question?? Why in the world would we make available a cloak that is more powerful, regardless if it is limited to 3 or not (that can change look at the beastslayer, changed to 15!) to ANYONE, regardless of lvl? People play this game to have fun and some of us really work our tails off to gain lvl's and power and just don't have a lot of money to spend. Then can be totally obliterated by someone who is 1000 levels below us! I know I am not the only one who sees something wrong with this. I totally understand that someone has a financial interest in this game and there is a monetary gain to be had, but did they ever stop to think that us players also have a fairly significant monetary investment in this game and if it weren't for that this game wouldn't survive. Yes someone new would come along, but now it would take $2000 dollars to match the abilities that even a decent 500 level player has and in today's economy how many people have that. Enough whining and verbal banter. Bottom line is, the cloak is VERY cool and yes I will probably get one, however I do not think it is fair for everyone to have access to it. I think you will also see, based on my conversations (and if they do as they said they would and post here) that their are many other people that believe this awesome cloak should be level limited. What that lvl is isn't up to me, however I'm thinking if lvl 1000 cloaks have +500 and this one is +750, someone smarter than I can do the math.....!

Sorry I am whining, I just feel that money is becoming more important than anything else. We have players with 300K hp and are several hundred lvls lower than the top 10. My new catch phrase could be, "Even at lvl 2000, beware that lvl 5, he might have just got his tax check!"

There is a little bit of a misconception here. These items are not a new direction being taken by the game. It was always possible for a low level player to be very powerful...they just had to buy more of the lesser priced legendary items versus fewer of these now, and this is not something new as far as being done either. This one is just a special, limited time item available to everyone the same. We do not have limited time purchase items very often, as you know. However, when we do have a special limited time item, it is typically available to everyone, whereas standard items that are available all the time often have a level limit.

advance notice

How about some advance notice that a special item is coming with maybe a general credit cost/ability hint in the future.

I made it to level 1000 yesterday and used all my credits buying the level 1000 cloaks I was suddenly privy to, only to have this special item come out after I spent all my credits.

I can't buy credits all the time, so it looks like I will be missing out on this item.

Also the talisman of luck should be renamed to the talisman of suck.
Huge waste of 10k credits.

Thank you for the feedback. We'll keep that in mind, or perhaps make future special events available for a longer duration. If we get more comments on the duration, the current event may be extended until the 15th, in case that would be helpful.

It might also be nice to come out with several special items that are level limited. They can be brought back every 6 months or so too so people that couldn't get the higher level ones earlier can then get them later if they want to add to their collection. This also adds incentive for people to actually level.

Good idea; I like it. This will now likely be the setup for the next special items event.

I totally agree with bat and stormms. When it gets to the stage where to be 'top man' in this game you end up spending $2000, it starts to get just a tad stupid. Not only is the games marketing strategy deeply flawed, so are the battle mechanics. If you could spend $100 or so on this game and have the same stuff as if you had spent $2000, alot more people would be buying alot more creds. I have no idea how ANY game dev/publisher/company can justify the kind of prices you lot do, and as pointed out previously, a different game plan would make you so much more money if only you could admit you messed it up in the first place and gave it an overhaul to make it ALOT cheaper for EVERYONE to play. It's easy to give special treatment to people who are willing to pay $2000 and nothing to people who just pay the odd $30 here n there.

It looks like Algadon is quite happy to price its own game out of the market, suicide by stupidity imo

Special treatment? What are you referring to?

Well, how long is it going to take before that starts?

Buying royal credits does not entitle special treatment. I think that most, if not all, players know this.

What he is saying, I think is when do people say enough is enough? It might get to a point where everyone says, this is just too much. To much for credits, don't listen at all to feedback etc... so when does the player say when....

We listen and act on feedback a lot.

im sorry but i do feel that buying credits does get people special treatment. You developers are constatnly doing things in this game to make the strong, stronger, and keep the weak, weak. unless the weak start to buy credits, then they would start to fall into the strong category. i've played this game for a few months now and got nowhere until i spent a little money. or a lot of money in todays standards. the cloak is cool, and if its extended i'll probably get one, but it favors the strong. aka the members who can afford to buy one. not everyone has thousands of $$$$$$$$$ to spend

I don't believe changes have been made with the purpose of keeping lesser powered players the same.

As for the rest, of course players that purchase legendary items tend to have better results (generalized). That's the case with any online game that uses point/credits to fund it (one way or another). You don't have to spend thousands, though, to do well.

AS I said, that's what I thought he said not what I said... I think you all do a fair job of listening to us, I do think the credit issue is out of control and the robe issue is out of control...but I am 1 opinion...

*with totally guilty face*
Well, a new item was in the legendary shop yesterday - the Soultaker Ring. Of course, being a shopoholic, yes I had to have one. I saw no fanfare before finding it in the shop so I have no idea whether or not this is a special, limited item.
On the upside, I shop here much like I shop in the real world - one of each item. So I'm fairly certain my kitty tail can be whipped by most players at around 50 levels higher. Had I been the sort to pack each strength/defensive item to the max, I would have grown bored and quit long ago. To date, I have not spent thousands and very likely won't get into the plural of that numeral. Perhaps just one more spree...
But I would like to state that there are games out there that are way, way more expensive. Most involve an alternate sim universe where anything goes as long as you can pay for it. Some have been closed down due to their crime based nature, one is still up and about at last peek. Then there's the one from Japan which any player who knows the language may access, their tiny sister site is where I brought 10 players here from.
