It might also be nice to come out with several special items that are level limited. They can be brought back every 6 months or so too so people that couldn't get the higher level ones earlier can...

How about some advance notice that a special item is coming with maybe a general credit cost/ability hint in the future.

I propose implementing a monthly credit subscription. Something along the lines of paying for X amount of credits and then getting an identical amount for free every so often.
