    Default Strength versus Defense effectiveness

I've noticed that there is a peculiar thing that happens when attacking Bosses.

    Sample Scenario:

    Equip spell; Equip armor
Spell strength 270 Spell defense 260
Armor strength 50 Armor defense 50
+ some small point special items
    Resultant figures:
    Equip Strength: 324
    Equip Defense: 324
    85-95 Damage Points

    HP loss = 500-700.

Change-up the armor to a more potent class:

Spell strength 270 Spell defense 260
Armor strength 15 Armor defense 250
+ some small point special items
    Resultant figures:
    Equip Strength: 289
    Equip Defense: 544
    85-95 Damage Points

HP Loss = 500-700... no change in range or benefit for increased defense. In essence, the game is scewed toward strength because the increased defense does not become accounted for.

Is this something you are aware of and can you see a routine that needs to include a defense adjustment based on the defensive item.

I have noticed this anomaly since day one, and if you need even more details... give me a shout out!

    Default

You're referring to HP loss for you, right? That is, defense reduces the damage you take. It does not affect the damage done to a boss at all...

    Default

That is correct. From what I'm hearing in the game, an adjustment might have already been made to account for the previous ineffectiveness of player defensive items.
