You did not gain any gold or experience because you lost the battle with the Hydra.

i've defeated this boss many times before, usually doing round about 500 damage. i'm now dealing about half that. it seems like this would happen if my equip items were not working but it shows they are and i even tried it again after i changed my spell. so its not a fluke either, it keeps hapening.
